![]() ![]() This particular brand of inertia is indicative of my ruthless need to progress into actual gaming elements, rather than expel the few precious hours I have pruning the nuances of my forehead or moderating the precise specificity of my ear alignment. Moulding a creatively affable entity that’s both expressive and displays a semblance of humanity requires inherent facilitation of patience I simply don’t have. “Meet the saviour of Tamriel: a registered sex offender apparently.” That is my reaction to almost every character I have ever designed! Say, your looking….OH MY GOD! KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE! Now with the application of a cleftal philtrum and some alluring stubble….I….am……finished. #Arkham horror character creator skinLet’s define those cheekbones a little, allow my skin some modest blemishes and allow my face to be studded with some mild pigmentation just to reduce my punctuated masculinity (don’t want the woman to be too distracted). Now for some additional cosmetic definition. You handsome devil, you’ll be slaying more woman than you will necromantic mages. Too effeminate, though I do like the way it brightens my eyes. Don’t want people to think I’m Rachel Dolezal now do I? Oh come on, I don’t know what height I am in centimetres?! Can’t you give me the measurements in feet! All right very well 170 cm? That must be around 6,2 right? Whoa, my hair has never retained that much volume! No that’s too long. Wait, why I am I black? Need to amend that promptly to reflect my pasty Caucasian skin. Not sure my eyes are quite symmetrical, just a little more structural alteration needed there….let’s separate them a little more, yeah that’ll do. She got a couple of good cards in the EotE with Enchanted Bow and Sweeping Kick.Let’s just modify the gradient of my nose. I'm biased towards Rita, but I think she's wonderful at enemy management. He is good at flexing but I would not trust him to be the main monster killer in my party. You don't need 5 in combat when you auto succeed every turn (guardian + survivor is broken for bless decks).Ĭalvin can't be A : too fragile early on, too much setup. He also is the best user of the Holy Spear, arguably with a better bless deck than Sister Mary. Unkillable, good economy, very strong weapon in Becky. And they keep printing cards that are so good for him. He is very straightforward and focused (or narrow) but an absolute killing machine. He's very good, but not on the level of Tony and Mark I feel. But when it comes to killing things fast and reliably, he is not the best. Yorick is basically impossible to kill, is very flexible in his deck building with some powerful combos. I’ll be uploading the other half of this tier list (really more like other 2/3 going by investigator count) tomorrow. This is just my best attempt at ranking the power levels of the investigators as I understand them now. My tier list has changed a lot over the past 3 months, and if I’m still making tier lists at the end of 2022, there will be a lot of changes by then even if the cardpool has only minimally changed. My experience is too limited, and my perceptions of what is and isn’t optimal are too easily wrong. My list isn’t going to be objective, try as I might to get there. What I’m attempting to rate, a strict power rankings of optimal decklists, could be an objective thing. Each character only gets ranked once, and there were only a couple hard calls as to which list they went to. Almost all flex characters are clearly more cluever than fighter, or vice versa, and go into the corresponding tier list. So for all the flex characters, I’ve looked at how I would play them, and put them into the tier list that they lean closer to. ![]() Where do I put flex characters then? Well, I rank the characters according to what I view their optimal build/playstyle is, not a general power level. I’ve split it up into two tier lists as I don’t feel Fighters and Cluevers can be meaningfully compared to one another. My tier list is an attempt at a power ranking of the investigators according to how they perform in 2/3 player multiplayer, standard difficulty, with the taboo list. I’ve been playing Arkham for nearly a year now, and competitive card games for the past decade. I figured I’d throw my hat into the ring with a yearend tier list. For anyone who doesn’t have time for the video version, here’s a screenshot of my final tier list. ![]()
